Artist Statement

Watercolors are my main means of expression. Through layers and color mixing I bring my ideas to the shape and depth of my feelings on paper. My work is focused on dreams and nightmares of being a woman. I have always had the need to express my feelings through images and this is why I try to make each of my works reflect what I feel at the moment, either in a subtle or totally crude way. Surrealist and expressionist currents have always inspired me in art. In my watercolors the female figure, eyes and hands are for me the greatest vehicles of inner manifestation. My intention is to generate a dialogue, sometimes empathetic, sometimes uncomfortable with the viewer. Member of the Mexican Watercolor Society and IWS Panama
